March: Introduction to True-Life Storytelling 'Creating & Telling a Captivating Story'

  • Camden Head 100 Camden High Street London, NW1 0LY United Kingdom

How can I turn events from my life into captivating stories? What is it that makes a good story? How can I keep people entertained with the stories I tell?

True life storytelling comes from the heart and is a beautiful way to connect with people in every day life through to business presentations, speeches, pitches and interviews. There could be many blocks that hold us back from truly re-living and re-telling stories from our own lives and this workshop will attempt to break those down, to provide you with a framework and tools to create powerful and engaging stories after the workshop is over.

This is a fun, supportive and experiential workshop: we will share stories, play games and help craft moments from your life into captivating true stories. We’ll work with structure, performance, voice and other storytelling techniques in small groups where you will connect with others and share experiences with lots of feedback and support.

Everyone will leave having created and performed their own 2-3 minute story.

Here are some quotes from people who did the last workshop:

"An extraordinary, inspiring and illuminating journey of self discovery through the medium of sharing stories drawn from your life and that of others. Be warned, this will move you."
- Chris

"This class was amazing, completely changed my perspective on how to connect with people through shared stories. I especially liked learning actionable steps to take to tell a story and learning exercises to get better over time."
- Ashwini

"Exceeded my expectations! Learnt a lot and had so much fun. And got to meet a great bunch of people. Awesome. Thanks, Michael"
- Valerie

"I started the day without a story and ended it delivering a story to the whole group which they all enjoyed!!! It has helped me to realise that I do have stories worth telling. Great advice given in structuring stories. I will be back."
